Product Details and Features

Double-girder top running cranes may be provided in Class A, B, C, D, and E of the CMAA, with typical capacities of 500 tons and spans up to 200 feet or longer. When designed correctly, double beam bridge crane may be an ideal solution for businesses needing heavy-to-medium-duty cranes, or facilities with limited headroom and/or floor space. A double beam design can be a cost-effective choice for a heavy-duty crane at a manufacturing, warehouse, or assembly facility. A crane that requires higher capacities, wider spanning, or higher lift heights would benefit from a double-girder design, but it can cost more upfront.

Application

Double beam bridge crane typically require a higher clearance above the cranes beam-level elevation, as the lift trucks traverse above the girders on the cranes deck. The bridge girders travel over the top of the crane tracks that are mounted atop the crane runway. End trucks — Supporting the bridge girder allows it to ride the crane rails, which allows the crane to travel up and down the crane runway. Bridge Girder – Horizontal girders on a crane supporting a cable trolley and lift.

Product Process

The basic structure of a commercial double beam bridge crane is, trucks running on tracks that extend along the length of a track system, and the bridge-carriage-girder fixed on end trucks, where a trolley for the lift suspends the lift and travels over a bridge. Double-girder bridge cranes are composed of two bridge beams attached to a runway, typically provided with overhead electrically powered wire-rope hoists, but may also be provided with overhead electrically powered chain hoists depending on the application. SEVENCRANE Overhead Cranes and Hoists can provide simple single girder bridge cranes for general use, and also provide custom built double girder bridge cranes for various industries. Because the swivels can sit in-between or above the traverse beams, an additional 18-36 of swivel height is available when using a double beam bridge crane.
